11 Brands Like Huha for Eco-Friendly Intimates

Boody makes its underwear from viscose derived from bamboo, and it's the softest thing on this list by a clear margin. Full Briefs cost $18 USD, the Classic Bikini $17 USD, and the Seamfree Undershorts $26 USD. Huha shoppers tend to land here for the same reason they landed on Mineral Undies, which is that the fabric stops registering after about a minute.
The trade-off is that viscose from bamboo is a processed fibre rather than a raw one, so if you're chasing cotton specifically, this isn't your brand. What Boody does better than almost anyone is the waistband. It's a rolled edge rather than a stitched band, so nothing digs in under a fitted skirt.
Best for: Anyone who finds cotton underwear scratchy after washing.
Pact
Pact makes its women's underwear from 95% GOTS-certified organic cotton and states on the product page that it's sewn in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory. That's a specific claim about the factory rather than about the company, which is worth reading carefully whenever a brand puts a certification logo on a page.
Against Huha, Pact is the plainer and cheaper option, and the range runs wider: bikinis, hipsters, bralettes, bodysuits and socks all sit under the same organic cotton umbrella. Prices load through the site's own scripts rather than the page source, so we're not quoting a figure we couldn't read directly. Expect mid-range pricing, and check the current number on the product page before you commit.

Everlane
Everlane sells cotton underwear at $18 to $20 USD a pair, and The Cotton Bikini is the piece most people buy. It comes in a colour range that includes Heathered Grey, Black and Burnt Sugar, and the size run goes from XXS to XXXL depending on the colourway.
This is the least specialised brand in the group. Everlane isn't an underwear label, so you won't find the fabric engineering Huha builds its range around, and there's no antimicrobial lining or moisture story to speak of. What you get instead is a cotton bikini that costs less than $20 USD, arrives with everything else in your cart, and doesn't ask you to think about it.
Best for: Adding two pairs to an order you were placing anyway.

Thought now trades at thoughtsocks.com, and its old address redirects there, so bookmarks from a year ago will land you in the right place. The intimates range has narrowed to organic cotton bralettes, with the Organic Cotton Jersey Bralette and the Organic Cotton Jersey Triangle Bralette both at £11.95 GBP.
Knickers are thin on the ground right now. The bamboo underwear collection had six styles listed when we checked and only the men's Arthur Plain Bamboo Boxer (£14.95 GBP) was in stock across sizes. TomboyX runs a single underwear style from XS through 6X, which is the widest size range in this article by a distance. Iconic Briefs and Boy Shorts both cost $28 USD, 4.5" Trunks and 6" No Fly Boxer Briefs cost $32 USD, and 9" Boxer Briefs cost $36 USD. Where Huha keeps its palette quiet, TomboyX runs prints with names like Cryptids and Moonlit Mushrooms, and it's the only brand here where the pattern is part of the point. The cut philosophy is closer than the styling suggests. Both brands build around a wide, flat waistband and a gusset that stays put through a full day of moving around.
Best for: Finding one cut that works across a size range most brands don't stock.
WAMA
WAMA makes hemp underwear, and hemp is the reason to bother: it's more breathable than cotton and holds its shape through more washes. Hemp Boxer Briefs, Hemp Boxers and Hemp Trunks all cost $32 USD, and the Ball Pouch Boxer Briefs cost $34 USD. The fabric is a hemp blend with 3% spandex for stretch.
One thing to say plainly: WAMA's current catalogue is men's cuts only. The ten products live on the site are boxer briefs, boxers, trunks, hemp tees and pyjama pieces, with no women's briefs or bikinis listed. If you came from Huha looking for a women's style, this isn't the substitution. If you're buying for a partner who complains about synthetic boxers, it's the best pick on this page.

Nudie Jeans
Nudie Jeans is a denim brand with a small underwear line, and its Boxer Briefs are 100% organic cotton at $40 USD a pair, or $110 USD for a three-pack. That's the highest per-pair price in this article, and it buys you a heavier cotton than the $20 tier uses.
The connection to Huha is a shared habit of naming the fibre and its origin rather than leaving it at "eco-friendly". What's different is scope. Nudie Jeans sells three colourways of one boxer brief style and a wall of socks, so this is a resupply rather than a place to shop the category. Like WAMA, this range covers men's cuts only.
Best for: Buying boxer briefs once and not thinking about them for years.
Underprotection
Underprotection makes lingerie from TENCEL™ lyocell and recycled fibres, and it's the closest fibre match to Huha in this whole group. Briefs start at €24 EUR, hipsters at €27 EUR, and strings at €20 EUR, with sale styles from the Gina and Christy lines dropping to €17.50 EUR.

The difference from Huha is styling: Underprotection cuts with lace panels, cutouts and matching sets, so it reads as lingerie rather than as underwear you forget you're wearing.

Subset
Subset is the brand that used to be Knickey. It announced the new name in October 2023 alongside men's styles and a wider size run, and the old Knickey product lines still appear in the site's own collection names. Organic cotton briefs cost $20 USD in high-rise, mid-rise and low-rise cuts.
Twenty dollars for a plain organic cotton brief undercuts most of this list, and the catalogue had every style in the briefs collection available when we checked. Subset also runs an intimates recycling programme, so your old pairs go somewhere other than landfill. If you liked Knickey and lost track of it after the rename, this is where it went.
Best for: The cheapest organic cotton brief here that still fits properly.
Thinx
Thinx is best known for leak-proof period underwear, and that's the functional-fabric thinking Huha applies to breathability applied to a different problem. The All-Day Brief and All-Day Bikini cost $19 USD each, the Basic Brief and Basic Hi-Waist $27 USD, and a three-pair All-Day Kit costs $57 USD.
What makes it worth including in a Huha list is the everyday range sitting next to the period range. You can buy a plain $19 pair without buying into the category, and the two live in the same drawer without ceremony. Stock was deep across sizes when we looked, with hundreds of available variants rather than the handful some brands here are down to.

How to Choose the Right Pair for You
Start with the fibre, because that's the decision that changes how a pair feels at 4pm. TENCEL lyocell moves moisture, which is the Huha argument, and Underprotection is the direct swap. Organic cotton breathes and washes forever, which points you at Subset ($20 USD) or Pact. Viscose from bamboo is the soft one, and that's Boody.
Then check the size run before the price. TomboyX going to 6X solves a problem no discount solves, and the $28 USD ticket is worth it if nothing else fits. If you're buying men's, WAMA and Nudie Jeans are the two here that still stock the category.
