22 Brands Like Halara for Cheap Leggings and Dresses
The dress that keeps showing up on your feed is real, and Halara charges £23.95 for it. The SoftlyZero Plush Backless Active Dress has a bra sewn in, shorts sewn in, and a price low enough that buying two colours feels like a rounding error. Leggings on the same best-seller page run £19.95 to £39.95.
Then the colour you want sells out, the restock date slides, and you go looking for the same idea somewhere else. That's the hard part. Plenty of activewear labels sell good leggings. Far fewer sell a dress with a shelf bra and pockets for under $50, which is the specific thing Halara made popular.
Halara is a direct-to-consumer activewear brand, meaning it sells straight to shoppers with no shop in between, and almost everything on its best-seller page sits under £40.
We checked 22 storefronts ourselves this week and quoted the full price rather than the sale tag. Five block automated price checks, and we've said so in each section instead of guessing. Halara's own site prices by region, so the figures above are what it charged us in pounds. One thing worth knowing before you compare: Halara's sustainability page now redirects to its best-sellers grid, so there's no published environmental claim on the site to weigh against anyone else's.
Quick comparison: the closest match on price and on dresses is CRZ Yoga. The cheapest leggings here are Gymshark at $38 and Nike at $42. The most premium are Alo Yoga, Lululemon and Girlfriend Collective. For dresses and skorts specifically, look at Senita Athletics, Baleaf, Oner Active and Buffbunny.

CRZ Yoga
CRZ Yoga is the closest thing on this page to opening Halara's own site. Its Butterluxe Cross Back Keyhole Mini Dress is $48 USD, the V Neck Flowy Tank Maxi Dress is $45, and the Butterluxe Cross Back Built in Bra Romper is $36.
Leggings are where the gap opens up. The Butterluxe High Rise Pocket Legging 32" and the Butterluxe Flare Pocket High Rise Legging 29" both list at $38 full price, and both were sitting well below that when we looked. The catalogue runs to hundreds of styles in one fabric family, which is the same trick Halara uses.
One thing to watch. Girls' styles sit in the same catalogue as the women's range, so a $19 legging or a $30 midi dress in your search results may be a kids' size. Check the product title before you add it.
Best for: swapping one order for another without changing your budget.
Alo Yoga
Alo Yoga sells the silhouettes you like from Halara in denser, heavier fabric, and charges accordingly. The Airbrush High-Waist Bootcut Legging is $128 USD, the High-Waist Dreamscape Short is $98, and the 7" Circuit Short is $68.
Alo also does the tennis-adjacent pieces Halara shoppers tend to want, including sweater-knit dresses and skirts in the same colour stories as its leggings. Our cart confirmed dollars. If you've worn a £24 dress until the seams went, this is the version that survives the wash cycle, and you'll pay roughly four times as much for it.

Lululemon
Lululemon is the brand most people name when they want the opposite of a cheap dress, and it makes exercise dresses too. It sits at the top of this list on price.
The storefront blocks automated checks, so we haven't quoted figures and we won't guess at them. That's a limit of our checking rather than a comment on the brand. Prices on the site itself are current. What it does have that no budget brand does is a fit range built around named silhouettes people buy repeatedly, which is why so many of the alternatives on this page get compared to it rather than to each other.

Girlfriend Collective
Girlfriend Collective runs every style from XXS to 6XL, which we confirmed across its full catalogue rather than on a single hero product. The Compressive High-Rise Legging is $108 USD and the pocket version is $118.
For the Halara-shaped part of your wardrobe, the Lucia Sleeveless Mini Dress lists at $88 and the Sport Skort at $78. The Compressive fabric is 79% recycled water bottles by the brand's own spec, and the colour range leans earthy rather than neon. Discounting is deep and frequent here, so the price you pay often lands closer to the middle of this table than the top of it.
Best for: shoppers who've given up on size charts that stop at XL.

Aerie
Aerie sells the soft, low-effort end of what Halara does, in the same rough price bracket, through American Eagle's stores and its own site.
Aerie's storefront returns a bot wall to automated checks, so we haven't quoted prices. What we can say without a price is what the range covers: ribbed leggings, flare leggings, lounge sets and crossover waistbands, restocked constantly, with a physical store you can walk into and try things on. That last part matters more than it sounds when a brand's fit is the thing you're unsure about.
Best for: trying before you buy, and lounging in it afterwards.
Outdoor Voices
Outdoor Voices made the exercise dress a category before Halara made it cheap. The Exercise 3" Skort lists at $68 USD full price, and it was marked down to $47.99 when we checked.
The house look is colour-blocking and muted tones rather than prints, and the range is built around doing something outside rather than posting about it. Sizing runs XXS to XXXL on the pieces we sampled. Our cart came back in dollars. If the Halara dress appealed because it looks like a dress and moves like shorts, this is where that idea started.
Best for: the exercise dress, bought once and worn all summer.
AYBL
AYBL is a UK label and prices in pounds, which makes it the easiest entry on this page for British shoppers who keep hitting import charges. The Classic Polo lists at £35 GBP full price.
AYBL leans gym rather than lounge. Expect sculpting leggings, bike shorts and cropped sets in strong colours, dropped in collections and restocked in waves. Available stock was thin across the catalogue when we checked, at 89 buyable variants out of 250 products, so the size you want may need a wait.
Best for: UK readers who want Halara pricing without a customs form.
Senita Athletics
Senita Athletics answers the dress question better than most brands twice its size. The Lux Sierra Dress is $49 USD, the Catalina Skort is $34, and the Micropleated Skort is $39.
Leggings sit at a flat $45 across the Dynamic Chakra and Skin Wrap Front styles, in inseams from 24" to 28". That flat pricing makes the maths easy in a way Halara's constant promotions don't. Prints tend to sell through rather than linger, and 1,233 variants were buyable when we checked.
Best for: an activewear dress under $50 that isn't sold out.
Zella
Zella is Nordstrom's own activewear label, which means there's no brand site to shop and no direct checkout of its own. You buy it through Nordstrom or not at all.
The Live In High Waist Legging is $59 USD and was in stock when we checked, with free shipping and store pickup. It goes on sale often enough that patient shoppers rarely pay full price, and the range is narrower than anything else on this page.
Best for: one dependable legging with a returns desk attached.
Baleaf
Baleaf covers the sporty end of Halara's range at similar money, with a catalogue deep enough that the sizing you want is usually there. The Laureate UPF 50+ Knee-Length Skort is $49 USD and the High-Waisted Golf Skort is $44.
Leggings start around $39 for the 25" fleece-lined style, and there's a large fleece and thermal section that most of the brands here skip entirely. Baleaf prices in dollars and ran nearly 6,000 buyable variants when we looked, which is the practical difference between browsing and getting your size.
Best for: golf and tennis skorts, and cold-weather leggings.
P.E Nation
P.E Nation is Australian, prices in Australian dollars, and treats activewear as the loudest thing you own. The Foundation V Neck Long Sleeve Top is AUD $85 with no markdown against it.
Retro graphics, block colour and a cut that reads as fashion rather than gym kit. It's the furthest thing here from Halara's quiet, cheap, wear-anywhere approach, which is exactly the reason to look at it when you want one piece to carry an outfit. Check the currency at checkout, since AUD $85 isn't $85 to a US card.
Best for: one statement set rather than a drawer of basics.
Fabletics
Fabletics runs on a VIP membership rather than a straight price list, which is a different way to buy activewear and the reason people either love it or leave.
The site blocks automated checks, so we haven't quoted prices or membership terms. Read the membership page on the site before you order, because the model involves a monthly decision rather than a one-off transaction. The catalogue itself is broad, covering leggings, sets, dresses and shoes, and there are physical stores as well as the site.

NVGTN
NVGTN built its following the same way Halara did, on one legging that spread through short-form video rather than advertising. The AeraLite Capri Legging is $50 USD.
The range is narrow on purpose. Leggings, bike shorts, bras and a few tops, in a rotating palette, with drops that sell through and come back. There are no dresses here, so this is a substitute for half of what you'd buy at Halara rather than all of it. Our cart confirmed dollars, and 751 variants were buyable across the catalogue.

Nike
Nike prices women's leggings from $42 to $115 USD at full price, which puts its entry point below most of the specialist brands on this page and its top end above them.
What you get for that is a fit developed for running and training first, then borrowed by everything else. Nike's lifestyle side covers the joggers and hoodies you'd wear for the same reasons you'd wear Halara, and its stock depth means the size you need is usually there. Sale prices ran throughout the range when we checked, with plenty of styles well under the full figure.
Best for: one pair that handles a run and a school pickup.
Gymshark
Gymshark has the lowest full-price leggings on this page. The Training Straight Leg Legging is $38 USD, the Whitney Regular Legging is $50, and the Soft Sculpt Legging is $60, topping out at $70 across the women's range.
Gymshark is gym-first in a way Halara isn't. The cuts are built to stay put under load, the waistbands are high and wide, and the marketing points at lifting rather than lounging. Its About page puts it in Solihull in the UK, and it prices US visitors in dollars. If your Halara leggings roll down mid-set, this is the fix.
Best for: training, without paying premium prices for it.
Oner Active
Oner Active sells the matching-set idea harder than anyone else here. The SoftMotion High Waisted Leggings are $65 USD, the AirMove Skort with Pockets is $70, and the SoftMotion Racer Back Dress with Built in Shorts is $98.
That dress is the direct answer to Halara's, at roughly four times the money and in fabric that reflects it. Discounting is aggressive across the catalogue, with the SoftMotion Skort listed at $58 and selling at $29 when we checked. Colours arrive as full collections, so buying a top and bottom that match is the default rather than a hunt.
Best for: a set in one colour, bought in one go.
PrettyLittleThing
PrettyLittleThing sells activewear as a wing of a much larger trend business, which is a different proposition to a brand that only makes leggings. Its activewear category runs sets, ribbed leggings and cropped hoodies.
The storefront renders prices in the browser rather than in the page source, so our checks returned the currency, GBP, and nothing else. We haven't quoted figures we couldn't read. What's visible without a price is the pace: the category turns over constantly, which suits buying for one weekend rather than one season.
Best for: a set you want now and won't care about in six months.
Vuori
Vuori sells the softest end of this list and has its own answer to the activewear dress. The One Shot Tennis Dress is $58 USD, and women's leggings run $78 to $110.
The fabric is the argument. Vuori's knits are brushed and light enough that people wear the joggers four days a week, which is the same behaviour Halara's dresses produce for a fifth of the price. Discounting on dresses and jumpsuits was heavy when we checked, with several styles in the $27 to $50 range. Our cart confirmed dollars.
Best for: comfort that reads as clothing rather than kit. More options in brands like Vuori.
Buffbunny
Buffbunny drops activewear in themed collections rather than a standing range, and it makes dresses. The Bend and Snap Dress is $72 USD, the Served Skort is $52, and the Dream Heathered Legging is $70.
Prints and colour do the heavy lifting, which is why it lands closer to Halara's feed-friendly appeal than to a plain black legging brand. Nearly 2,000 variants were buyable across the catalogue when we checked, and pricing held at full across the pieces we sampled. Buffbunny is Texas-based by its own About page and prices in dollars.
Best for: colour, prints and a dress that isn't black.
Beyond Yoga
Beyond Yoga makes the softest legging here. The Spacedye Vitalize Full Length Legging is $108 USD, and the Spacedye fabric it's cut from is the reason people buy the brand at all.
Every piece we sampled carried a compare-at price identical to its selling price, so the sale banners you see are doing less work than they appear to. The range is narrower than Alo's and less gym-focused than Gymshark's, sitting squarely in the wear-it-all-day territory Halara occupies at a quarter of the cost.
Best for: readers who buy on feel and don't mind paying for it.
Cotton On Body
Cotton On Body is the Australian chain's activewear and lounge line, sold in US dollars through its US site. The Ultra Soft Contour Full Length Tight is $49.99 and the Ultra Luxe Invisible Scrunch Flare is $59.99.
Multibuy offers run constantly, with activewear at two for $40 and tops at two for $30 when we checked, which drops the real cost per piece into Halara territory. Styles are simple rather than technical, built for mixing with the rest of the shop's basics. There are physical stores across the US, so returns don't need a courier.
Best for: stocking up cheaply on plain, comfortable pieces.
Athleta
Athleta is Gap's activewear brand and a Certified B Corp, a claim it publishes on its own site and which appears in B Lab's directory.
Its site renders its catalogue in the browser and returned no prices to our checks, so we haven't quoted any. Athleta's reputation rests on longer inseams, real pockets and a size range built for a wider set of bodies than the influencer brands target. It has stores across the US, listed through the store finder on its site, so you can try a size before you commit to it.
Best for: longer leggings and a fitting room near you.
How to Pick the Right Halara Alternative
Start with the piece you wear most. If it's the dress, go to CRZ Yoga or Senita Athletics first, because both sell one under $50 and both had stock when we checked. If it's the leggings, Gymshark at $38 and Nike at $42 are the cheapest full prices on this page, and Zella's $59 Live In is the one with a Nordstrom returns desk behind it.
Two things worth pinning down before you order. Check the currency, because AYBL prices in pounds and P.E Nation in Australian dollars, and neither converts in your favour. And check whether the brand you're eyeing sells dresses at all, since NVGTN and Zella don't, which makes them half a replacement for Halara rather than a whole one.
